Second occupier signs for E20 Park Copenhagen
Aviva Investors and Verdion have leased a further unit at E20 Park Copenhagen south of the Danish capital to leading Nordics automotive business NDI Group.
NDI Group will be opening a state-of-the-art tyre distribution warehouse at the logistics hub from June 2022, ensuring customers on Zealand a faster delivery of an even more extensive product range, preparing the company for future growth.
It has taken units SC1.3 and 1.4 – a total of 6,302 sqm – adjacent to Danish childrenswear company Molo, which became the park’s first tenant in May 2022.
Allan Pedersen, CCO of NDI Tyres, said: “The new warehouse will ensure profitable growth and efficient operations in line with our 2024 strategy and optimisation efforts of our warehouses, which are also in full swing in Norway and Sweden right now.
“At the same time, the warehouse is energy efficient and has the sustainability certification DGNB Gold, as it is built according to strict environmental standards. In this way, we can combine profitable operations and at the same time take the environment into account, which is also important to us. So we are very much looking forward to taking the new warehouse into use, becoming part of the E20 Park, and taking the next step in our growth journey.”
Daniel Carstens, Commercial Manager at Verdion, said: “It’s great to see the park start to fill up with the first building now fully let and both NDI Group and Molo attracted by its strong sustainability credentials as well as high quality building specification and speed of delivery.
“Development at E20 Park is still continuing, with a larger distribution centre of 37,000 sqm also underway speculatively offering unit sizes from around 7,000 sq m upwards ready for occupation in Q1 next year.”
The new unit – DC1 – will benefit from 12.2m headroom, 50kN/m² UDL floor loading, LED lighting and an ESFR sprinkler system, with all mains services connected and available and a 56-meter-deep fenced yard. A DGNB Gold sustainability rating is being targeted. Lease terms are available from retained agents CBRE who advised on the NDI letting.
E20 Park Copenhagen is one of Denmark’s largest logistics parks, offering a wide range of unit sizes on its 38-ha site – from smaller scale warehousing for immediate occupation to very large scale, technically complex buildings. Located close to the town of Solrød, it is 25 minutes away from the city centre with over 40% of the Danish population living within an hour’s drive of the site. It is owned by a Fund managed by Aviva Investors.
